Kris Soumas

Kris Soumas has been at the intersection of media and technology for the past 20 years, where she has served as the driving force behind successful digital properties for ABC, Bravo, A&E, History and Lifetime. She is the former SVP of Games at A+E Networks and Head of Lifetime Game Studios in Korea. Currently, she is an independent producer and advisor.

Nate was Director of Games Development at Nickelodeon for nearly a decade before stepping out on his own to create the game development tool: 2Dkit.

Kathryn Finney

Author, tech entrepreneur, 2013 Champion of Change Award from the White House for making tech more inclusive. 2013 Ebony100 list of the most influential African Americans in the United States,  2010 Top Ten Women in Money by AOL. Finney founded digitalundivided, a social enterprise to increase active participation of urban communities, especially women, in the digital space with the FOCUS100 Conference.   

Dr. Carla Fisher 

Founder: NoCrust Interactive. Created and researched over 300 games for children & families, including Stride & Prejudice (iOS), Williamspurrrrg HD (iPad), Sesame Street: Elmo’s Musical Monsterpiece (Wii), Kids’ CBC: Little Wally Ball-y Ball (iOS), and Art Lab from the Museum of Modern Art (iPad), PhD Instructional Technology and Media, Columbia University; a Master’s Media Studies, New School University.

Nick Fortugno

Game designer and entrepreneur based in New York City, and a founder of Playmatics. For the past 10 years, Fortugno has been a designer, writer and project manager on dozens of commercial and serious games, lead designer on the downloadable blockbuster Diner Dash, and the award-winning serious game Ayiti: The Cost of Life. Nick teaches game design and interactive narrative design at Parsons The New School of Design, and has participated in the construction of the school‘s game design curriculum. Nick is also a co-founder of the Come Out and Play street games festival hosted in New York City and Amsterdam since 2006, and co-creator of the Big Urban Game for Minneapolis/St. Paul in 2003. Nick’s most recent writing about games can be found in the anthology Well-Played 1.0: Video Game, Value, and Meaning, published by ETC-Press.

Denmark West

Former president of Digital Media at BET Networks, West was responsible for BET.com, BET Mobile, BET on Demand and BET’s digital download offerings, overseeing the development and implementation of the global digital strategy. He was the executive vice president and chief of operations, Global Digital Media, for MTV Networks.
